I have a Gt jtd and its one of the best cars i have ever owned. Don't worry overly about the clutch pin, just get a new one when you get your Gt, and fit it for piece of mind. I think anyhow on the 2007 car you are looking at it will have the modified clip.
I have spent a bit on suspension and ARB's cause the original shocks were not the best part of the car, and honestly it is now better than i could have ever dreamt of!! Take your time there are lots out there, have a good look underneath, at the sills where some owners jack them up on the bodykit damaging the sideskirts.
I had my Gt under sealed when i first bought her at autolusso. Really helps to protect her over the harsh winters.
Reliability is excellent, the diesel engine is a good one, and absolutely comes to life with a remap!! in every way. If you do go that route just be sensible how you bring the power in, the clutch due to the torque of the diesel lump can sometimes be a weak point. But be sensible you will be fine.
Whatever you will hear the build quality is not up there with certain german marques. But that is partly the charm of owning a beautiful alfa , everyday you drive the Gt will be special. There is such a sense of occasion with this little coupe. Its magic it really is. I really don't regret all the hard earned i spent on perfecting my Gt chassis, it has made the car so rewarding to drive.
I have to give credit to Ned at autolusso, his advice has been priceless in my ownership of the Gt. And a good specialist is essential with an alfa Chris.
Look forward to your purchase..... oh yes and..... black is best by the way....
