Problem - 156 v6 running rough
Thanks for looking.
Put a little bit of diesel into my '01 V6 by accident, then half a tank of super unleaded when I realised. That didn't work so I got what I could out of the fuel rails and pipes then tried again.
This caused the battery to go flat. Still just enough power to turn interior lights and dash on but not to start.
Last night then I removed all coil packs and spark plugs, which were all dry. Today I pumped the tank empty, and then put 2 gallons of super unleaded into it, and made sure it was pumping up to the fuel rail (it is).
It still wont start. I removed the air-pipe to the throttle body and squirted some petrol in there but it still wouldn't fire.
Pressed the fuel cut-off button to be sure, no difference. Bridged the fuel pump relay, no difference (all fuel systems working fine).
The throttle body butterfly is not moving when the throttle pedal is pushed, plus there is still no spark, which I think must mean I have a problem relating to the electrics, and specifically some kind of immobiliser fault or key-code fault?
I have the black 2-button key only. I do not have a key-card in my owners manual.
Car ran perfectly up until yesterday afternoon before the four litres of diesel were put in.
