Engine control system failure

A few weeks a go I was driving my alfa Romeo 147 on the motorway
When the revs kept cutting off and the computer was saying engine management failure
It did this a few times then was fine later on that night as I drove the car again the engine cut off whilst driving and now every time I try to start it it says immobiliser failure. Does anyone no what this is. Thanks

Measure the battery voltage after the car has been still for a few hours, a healthy charged up battery should be nearer 13 V than 12 V. If it's low, then take it out of the car and re-charge it.
