Just add my 2 penny's worth to add to the saga.
I spent Saturday cleaning and polishing the car, must admit the teledials from pre-facelift are really growing on me - must take a few pics!
Getting to the point, I noticed when peeping under the bonnet that the "U" shaped air intake tubing from the air box was not fitting correctly into the hose going to the turbo; in fact it was creased and by not in the correct position was letting air in, thereby by-passing the MAP and filter - NOT good.
Easy job I thought; no such luck. I removed the tube and with a hair dryer and with the help of a flower pot (!) forced into the tube was able to restore the shape. But I couldn't get it to fit into the hose, so had to resort to removing the undertray and the hose and then re-assembling the tube/hose before refitting.
The crease was caused by using a Jubilee clip instead of the original clips, over-tightening caused the tube to deform - words of caution.
All is well and the engine is quieter - not surprising really. I also took the opportunity to glue rubber grommets onto the rear most fixing points for the Ali undertray to stop the annoying buzz.
