Thanks again for everyones replies, im sorry i havent reply sooner but its been a bit of a nightmare week - and not been able to get online.
Firstly i sold my old Merc C Class for next to nothing only to later find out that she was a one-of-a-kind Brabus tuned beast lol worth several thousand pounds and i sold it for 500 bucks, thinking it was fake hahaha more fool me...
Back to Alfas - so, this past week iv had some problems. Firstly the engine light come on again, saying mis-fire on cylinder 1 - so i had the coil replaced. I have a problem accelerating when i put my foot down - at around 3k RPM she's umm stalling almost, just jerking back and forth before passing this problem area and accelerating like normal. And lastly (for now!) when the engines hot - she wont start. Tries to turn over but after a couple revolutions, she just dies. Lights etc work fine but after reading around today, it seems this could be caused and even the problem above - by the battery ? So will replace this ASAP also.
When she was havin her coil done, my mechanic called me to come take a look. He said theres been some less than well qualified hands in this engine and that tends to be problematic. He noticed a fuel leak from one of the injectors - which could be the seals or injector itself - will find out soon enough ! And it could be leaking into other parts, causing some trouble - but thats a worst case scenario. Electrically shes a mess - again from previous owner, as her alarm has been bypass for some strange reason and sometimes it just plays up and changes my heating settings and things when driving - that could be typical Italian electrics mind.
An input on these being wrong or any possible solutions would again be greatly appreciated. I dont suppose anyones in South Wales (im in the Valleys, around 10 miles outside Cardiff) who would like to take a look and il buy them a pint for their time !! :P
Its starting to bug me now, never had so many problems with my past Alfas but then i didnt buy them off a complete douche i suppose. When i finish all the work done i may even sell her
Looking around, with just under 70k on the clock now, 1/2 Alfa service history and in black with tan leather - i reckon 3k is about right, would anyone agree/dispute this please ? But firstly i have to get her up to scratch ! Easier said than done at the moment... thanks again all ! Sorry to ask sooo many questions but i enjoy asking questions
