My Alfa GT needs some work!

hey all,

So my GT has just reached 60,000 miles so felt it was time for it to have a service. Since planning to have the service a few weeks back ive noticed that;

a) Suspension is creaking quite badly over the slightest bumps (new wishbones needed im guessing)

b) the clutch is starting to slip (poss time for a new clutch)

This is on top of the new glow plugs needed, underside cover which needs fixing, cam belt is due a change along with the water pump.

My question is does anyone have a rough estimate of how much this could/should cost.
Also anyone know of any decent garages near Gatwick?

Id suggest trying to avoid letting the clutch slip for the time being, so gives you the option to spread the cost if its not that bad yet.

You will need a flywheel, so it makes the clutch job an expensive one.

Id say your looking at about £1300 or so including the flywheel with the clutch.

Expensive stuff!

For comparisions, Alfaworkshop has a handy online quotation system. Go to their Alfa Romeo Serving page, click on the 60,000 service for the JTD, select your car and add the other bits to get an instant quote.
