snow chains as said are highly recommended for high altitude locations.
You need to check your battery is fit, antifreeze good enough for -30C or more, winter screen wash, winter tyres and check your glow plugs...that's about it.If it has tough time starting in very cold mornings you could preheat twice and leave it a few seconds after the light goes out before starting.
And give the car a good wash as frequent as possible or find out some protective coating for the paint, as the stuff they put on Austrian roads makes the cars rust very fast...
