Catalyctic converters on the way out on my 147 - stainless or replace?

Morning Guys

I recently bought an Alfa 147 1.6 TS Lusso. Heard a bore coming from the flexi so assumed it may just be that that's wrong. It looks / smells like it could be the cats gone now

I've seen that section on eBay for 200 of our finest beer tokens but just wondering if I should just replace the whole thing with a stainless just for the sake of it. The backbox / tailpipe is looking rather wrinkly now anyway so may aswell

The MOT is up in June so plenty of time to switch if I still have the car by then.

Does anybody have any experiences or advice they would like to pass on?
