MrShusky,I would like to draw your attention to a sadly dying art form, soon to be lost from these shores forever,I refer,of course,to overtaking!
The forty mph brigade, which as you have found are rife in these regions, were actually specially bred for this very purpose!Alas the annual influx of 'grockles' who's natural habitat is one of concrete and kerbs have lost the overtaking instinct, instead, somewhat overawed by strange green stuff and a total lack of concrete, just follow the crowd. . . . . . . . at 40mph!
This in turn makes it difficult for purveyors of the lost art to even attempt any form of rennaissance.
It must be said that when the noble art is practised, the 40mph brigade tend to get very alarmed as they are blissfully unaware of the fact that it is even possible to do more than 40 without suffering a severe nosebleed!!!
Just remember, speed kills.....I actually thought it was the sudden stop.......silly me.....
To verify your speedometer accuracy, try a sat nav.it worked for me when my speedo became intermittant!
Must stop now,as typing with my tongue so firmly in my cheek is very tiring
