147 2.0 TS CF3 Problems - Also need an Indy in the hampshire area!

Hi Guys,

This post is on behalf of my dad, He's owned the above '04 for just over a year now but it's suddenly started doing some funny faults!
At 5am this morning, He got in the car to go to work, but upon turning the key, the engine was misfiring and spluttering at 500rpm, the Keycode warning then came up on the dash. After a few minutes of trying later, this dissapeared and the car started but revved at 3krpm then stalled, It's been popping up with the engine management error for quite a few weeks but has driven him from A to B perfectly without fault apart from a bit of pinging in low revs (Which sometimes dissapears too)
The car's power is totally smooth and consistent when it's driven but it's just being a pain with the errors popping up, it's had a new MAF (about 8 months old)
I'm just wondering whether it could be the Lambda's or the ICV messing about?

Also, we need to know if there's any local independent Alfa garages about that could possibly help in the hampshire area?

You've just been done by a Twinny!

Not quite Hampshire but Black and White in Newbury are excellent.

Where in Hampshire? West of Southampton (or indeed anywhere) I'd recommend Autolusso Bournemouth; east of Southampton I'd recommend A&M in Wickham. If it's a toss up between the two then given your description I'd recommend the former.

I would recommend Mike Roberts at http://www.cars.robertsaerospace.com.Phone 01329 834016 He is just north of Fareham and most importantly has the "Examiner" software.
