Found a 147 to buy

Alfa Loyalists,

I have finally found a 07 147 to buy. its done under 18K miles, diesel 1.9 JTDM. As i am new to Alfa's is there anything specific to this model or engine that i need to watch out for ???

its an alfa approved used car so the norm i guess would be to check service history so any unusual parts that have been replaced. Checked other threads on this forum and common fault is the bonnet latch if its greased and moves freely, Cambelt service is not due but i would personally spend money getting that and water pump done at 40K miles intervals/4 years without question.

My checklist to check is:

check inside/outside tyre wear,
smell of exhaust/petrol fumes or foam in coolant
condition of oil
gunk under oil cap or dipstick
signs of leak or corrsion around boot/door seals
signs of oil leak around the sump or rust on sump

I know all this might be a bit unecessary but its what i have learnt over the years. Is there anything else i need to watch out for or add to checklist?

Many thanks,
