GT JTD 2005 jacking points

Guys can someone explain to me why on earth every single GT i have looked at buying has been jacked up underneath the side skirts which has damaged them to the point of the skirt being squashed up so that it changes the shape and bulges out looking awfull , i note there is an arrow pointing down on the skirt showing the jacking point but surely its further in so as to miss the actual skirt ?? ...........Regards ..Mark......

Discovered my jacking point at drivers side front has also been damaged. It's the only point to suffer so I'm guessing whoever caused it learned before raising each other corner.

Gutted as now I know its there it always seems to catch my eye walking back to the car. Has anyone managed to repair this without replacing the sides?

I know what you mean!! You would think that people would understand the side skirts are part of the body kit and not solid!!! Some people don't think!!!

It doesn't help that they are metal and part of the bodyshell, rather than a separate add-on part.

Yup, my GT has the same issue, both sides! Thankfully the drivers isn't noticeable until you look carefully, but the near side is a mess.
