Hi i have posted on another forum just thought id i put it to a few others,
the story is that i was driving and put my foot down accelerated from 0-60 fairly swiftly when reaching 60 mcs error on the display and into limp mode, wasnt far from home, got home restarted her all systems good.
decided to clear the egr up as i was thinking that was the likey cause as i had been getting smoke on or around the turbo kicking in. egr wasnt too bad so investigated and found the split in the upper turbo hose near the butterfly valve, looked like it had been split for a little while (gunk all around the battery) took the butterfly valve off and cleaned it up as the egr was off and i know it was fairly pointless but it was very sooty. took the battery and the tray out to clean up as much gunk as i could. put it all back together and refuses to rev properly, its fine on the slightest touch of the pedal.
took it to a mechanic friend and he suspects a mechanical not electrical and also suspects its either a air intake problem or a collapsed exhaust. i have fiat ecu scan but i can not connect to the engine ecu, i can to the others. my friend managed to clear one code with his plug in but it wouldnt tell him what the code was.

the car is at full throttle in the video
it doesnt like being loaded at all, turbo seems ok, maf seems ok, turbo hose still split but it shouldnt cause that much loss in power.
any other ideas would be appreciated it should be going back to my friend towards the end of the week.
