I know this has been said many times and it's a "can of worms" ... And I sincerely do not
mean to offend anyone at all, as it's just my own opinion...... But!
Who would want a tractor like, dirty, smelly, smoky engine in a such a beautiful coupe'
Sorry, yes... I'm one of them who believe an Alfa should be a petrolhead's dream, emphasis on petrol
I simply don't see the point in owning a car with such a lot of thought, spirit and passion put into it and bought by an owner who just wants the looks but want's to save money.
It smacks of the guy who owns a Tag Heur watch yet can't afford to pay his mortgage, just to show he is doing well when he isn't!
Lets face it.... When do you ever see a multi-millionaire drive a diesel when he can afford a Zonda or Ferrari?
I do however accept the fact that if Alfa didn't make oil burners, it would have gone the way of the Dodo a long time ago. So some thanks to the many who have kept the company in profit.
Oh and yes... I have owned a 2.4 JTD 156 10V before... So no chance of converting back... hated everything about it and couldn't wait to get rid of it evn though it was tip top and I had no issues with it
I also have the opinion that Alfa are very quickly losing their way with the latest variants of powerplants for that matter, small capacity turbo-charged engines are something that they should have well avoided to keep the true owner's happy and return customers... Beefy, big and meaty was the only way to go IMO... but that's just it... My opinion!
I'd hand over my money from my lottery winnings to Autodelta for a GT 3.7 Superdelta... Simple as that, no mess, no fuss
