As some of you know I had a complete leather retrim of my seats and door cards back in september. LINK TO OLD THREAD (Alfa 147 - Leather Re-Trim Complete - LOTS OF PICS)
After it had been done I noticed how cheap looking the handbrake gaiter and gearstick gaiter were
Searching around the web the best looking ones I could find were the Momo branded ones sold by the Alfa Owner Shop.
I ordered a set of gaiters and a replacement handbrake handle at pocket burning price of £140
Also ordered myself one Alfaowner.com window sticker and received three of them
To remove the old handbrake handle I tried melting the glue with a hair dryer but its just to stubborn. In the end I just took a pair of scissors to it and it came off really easily. (If anyone wants to try this themselves the glue is only on the lower half of the rubber grip)
The handbrake gaiter is just the right size and has all of the required notches cut into it ready for fitting.
The gearstick gaiter needed a little trimming to make it the right size as it was a universal gaiter kit and also needed the fixing notches cutting into it.
Parts used were as follows with AO Shop prices :
1 x MOMO Pit Stop Handbrake Boot (Black Leather) (Ref: 1212s) = £38.78
1 x MOMO Pit Stop Alcantara Handle (Black) (Ref: 3485s) = £55.65
1 x MOMO Elegance Gearstick Boot (Ref: 1126s) = £38.78
Heres the result and a picture of my Tom Tom Sat Nav
The ITALY writing on the handle isnt pink by the way thats just the camera flash
