I finally got round to getting iTunes on my computer and am starting to load my CD's into it . One of the next logical steps is to get an MP3 player in the car and rip CD's to play in it. And I thought the radio ought to be DAB in keeping with my creeping modernisation. Anyone got any thoughts/experience of this? I had in mind a Blaupunkt DAB54.
The Pioneer DEH P77MP will play MP3s which have been burnt onto CDs, can be upgraded to play DAB radio (with an optional extra DAB box thingy) and is undoubtedly the best looking head unit available!!!!
Not to mention Burr Brown thingys, DAC stuff, blah, blah blah.........so sound quality is excellent.
i've got a neo mstation (www.ssimamerica.com) - with a 40gb hdd in the 147. All for the price of an average cd changer this is one smart bit of kit. Open source firmware with a strong following too only downside is no wma support, but who seriously wants to completely marry themselves to M$ eh!
