What mileage was on the car when you got it?
Do you know when the belt was previously replaced?
Was it at 72000miles?
If it was your belt lasted 65000miles.
If the original cambelt was changed before 72000miles then the belt that has just failed may have done closer to 77000miles.
It is generally accepted that all cambelts are on borrowed time from 60000miles.
It is recommended the TS & JTS cambelts are changed no later than 48000miles (ideally 36000miles) and the V6 before 60000miles, ideally earlier than that.
(The "visual inspection" is a joke, because you can't tell from looking that it will last another 36000miles).
