120k service: Which parts to replace?

Hi there,

My 2002 156 2.0TS is nearing its 120k service, and Im curious which parts I should replace.

I got a (ridiculous) quote from my local dealer, who suggested to replace the following:
Timing belt
Belt stretch
Aircon belts
Adjustable T (dont know what this is; part nr 55184055)
Belt stretch
Balance belt
belt stretch

Im going to pick up the parts in the UK, saving like 60%.

So... two questions:
1. Do I need all these parts? Where can I find information on parts to be replaced?

2. What is the best (cheapest) place to buy these parts in the UK?

Your help is hugely appreciated!

At 120k You will definitely need

Timing belt
Waterpump (if you have never had one, this is about as far as they go)
Balance belt
(can't remember of the top of my head if there is an idler on that one too but if so that one too)

Variator (optional although 90-120k is about the time they give up too. Sounds like a tractor on start up and ends up like this all the time when fully goosed)

Aux belt only if it is knackered although you can see it.
tensioner and idler on this only if they squeak.

BMW E12 M535i, JC racing diff, Gaz coilover, Powerflex.
Alfa 156 GTA, Q2, Super sprint, CF2, EQ, KW coilovers, Eibach rollbars, Powerflex.
Alfa Mito QV , BMC filter.

Check out EB Spares, Shop4parts, Alfashop, Buypartsbuy, Alternative Autos, Autolusso, Veloces of London......to name just a few
I get all my stuff from UK suppliers because motor factors over here just are not up to the mark (unless it is German and Japanese stuff) and main stealers? Well they are just that. Give Carl at Alfashop a ring 00441603426277... Tell him I sent you...he's a good guy and will help you out.

All the best
