Help 147 failed MOT, how much to fix??

Apologies for a boring thread but my 147 failed it's MOT & I was quoted 300 to get it fixed, it seems like a lot but I have no idea if it is??

both front brake pads need replacing.

offside brake pad needs replacing.

front upper suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement.

front brakes imbalanced

Also any suggestions of a good garage? I live in Leeds.

Sounds reasonable price to me, full set of new pads and a suspension arm. Could have been worse.

Try calling a couple of local garages for quotes.

Sounds OK to me - what is meant by "offside brake pad needs replacing."?
