Fitting on multi-functional steering wheel

Dear Alfa owners,

My first post here!
Hope you'll help me before I make one of those crazy decisions!

I'm planning to replace my current steering wheel on 156 with another.
My Alfa is a 1998 year production, whrereas the new wheel is from a 2002 model.
Also, the new steering wheel has sound controls while mine is a bare one.

So, it comes down to a question: can I switch steering wheel from picture 1 to the wheel on picture 2 with all the controls working?

Thanks in advance! Mike

I'm sure you can do it on post 2002 cars as a straight swap but I think controls and airbag won't work on a pre-internal facelift...or at least MY 99 for the airbag....
