Fair price for 147 rear shocks?

I have been quoted £300.00 to supply and fit both rear shock absorbers to my 2001 1600cc 147.

Do you think that this is a fair price?

I'd guess you can get a set of shocks for £100 - £120 plus vat (shop4parts are quoting £56 each, and they aren't the cheapest) so you are looking at about £150 - £200 for labour. If every bolt came out easily (unlikely ) I'd say you could do the job in a couple of hours....or it could take 5 or 6 if things were a PITA......depends what you think is a reasonable labour rate - and of course that rate factors in premises costs, specialist tools etc......
