Can someone tell me how to get the chrome strip off from the bottom of the matt-silver fascia on a 156. I think I can see two little slits into which I need to insert something thin and then pull. However I don't want to do this on spec so if someone can confirm I would be grateful.
I have 2 reasons for getting it off; firstly I need to change a bulb behind the fuel gauge, am I right in thinking I need to take out the matt silver fascia to do this? Secondly the chrome strip itself is chipped and has a white bit at one end, so I would like to replace it. Does this thing have a part number?
Next, the chrome button on the end of the handbrake, also missing a bit of shiny. How easy is that to replace? Is it something a mechanical knuckle head can do? Is it something Intaservices can do easy enough, with the right part, the next time I am there? Or do I just live with it?
The last point, which I need to address to get my 156SW back to mint. In the boot, the right hand cubby hole with the drop down flap, the catch is broken, and it remains closed by way of a bit of duct tape making a bit of a wedge (courtesy of previous owner). Can I replace just that little flap? Or do I need to scour the scrap yards for that whole right-hand-of-the-boot plastic piece?
There's a lot of questions there, I'm sorry
so please don't feel you need to answer everything. A little bit here and there from a few people and I reckon I can get Brenda-with-a-big-backside back to mint condition before you know it
