rev drops on idling when fan kicks in

Hy guys !

Just noticed something odd. Last evening while chatting with a friend (car was idling after a 20 min drive) I've noticed that when the fan kicked in the car revs dropped for a sec. After 10 minutes ... same story, fan kicks in and revs drop slightly for a sec. The car has the same behaviour when I start the AC or when I open a window. Can the alternator be on it's way to heaven !? Don't have a multimeter with me right now, I'll have one and check this weekend. What reading should I get? 14V?

Thanks

That is perfectly normal mate... ALL cars do it when an electrical load is drawn from the charging system....
You probably have never noticed it before until it was ticking over for a while.
Even switching on heated rear windows can slightly drop the revs, in fact anything that uses a relay does it to.
