i know all you guys are right....... the 3 days i had driving the twin spark it did feel a really nice car to drive, even after owning many bmw's and mercedes and jap cars. this is my 17th car now, but i do plan on keeping her for a few years, now i have my son to worry about so i cant be changing my cars too much now. plus the body and interior of my twinspark is mint.
i must admit tho, after hearing some1 say the probs i have should have been picked up when i viewed it, i knew it needed the ARB bushes, but i had no idea how awkward they were to change at the time. plus the guy i bought the car from told me the cambelt was good for another year.......... i should have read through the history more thouroughly myself......
iv spoken to my local mechanic who will change my clutch for £150 if i supply the clutch and slave, so the job doesnt seem as bad as i thought now
and then down to autolusso in the next couple of months for a cambelt change for £250
the ARB bushes can wait......
cheers again anyway guys, looks like ill be able to sort her out quicker and cheaper than i have dreaded, nearer the £600 mark for clutch and cambelt kit!!
