Blocking crankcase rear breather 2.0 TS ?
As you all know, there are two head breathers, one pre butterfly no valve and one post butterfly that has a spring closing it on all engine revs except idle.
Well my valve was broken, the spring very weak and could not source any new part, even though it is very cheap (3 euros something).
Anyway, I decided to block it for good so i stuffed a stopper on the crankcase side. Have been running the whole day like this, idle is improved (no more light stuttering every now and then) and engine seems to rev more freely.
Am I asking for trouble by doing this ? The big crankcase vent pre butterfly is more than able to take out the fumes so that the engine doesn't overpressure and blows seals, right ?
