Ive owned my GT for two days now and the red airbag warning light comes on and stays on when the cars started. When i drive over a speed bump it flashes and flickers and sometimes goes out only to turn back on later. Its obviously a connection fault somewhere, any ideas where the fault lies please. Thanks
this happened to my 147, it was down to a loose connector but mine was under the drivers seat there is a black plastic arm that you can pull out and the connectors are fixed to these, its the same for both seats should be yellow i think.
Had mine for a week and today the exact same issue. Made me a bit cross until I read this post. I will take a look at it tomorrow... tie wraps at the ready, thanks guys.
Mine started doing it last night. My good lady moved the seat forward to let her son out and from that point on it lit up and stayed lit but for a brief moment when the car went over a bump.
2nd time in 10 months this has happened. Last time I unclipped the connector and coated with WD40. This time I just unclipped it and reconnected and it was fine this morning.
I will probably invest in some electrical connector spray
Be aware that if there is any issue, from my experience with our Multipla , the connection can be reset a number of times but the ECU will only allow it a few times as it seems to count them up. Having just got the car through the Mot with the light on it seems time to get to the source of the error.Anybody else have a greater understanding?
