Battery Drain - What Does your 156 take when Switched Off?
Overnight my Alfa 156 suddenly had a 'flat' battery, dash lights OK but no starter and lights dimmed out when trying to start.
Charged the battery overnight but it still wouldn't start and was still very low on charge.
I'll try to charge again overnight. I realise my battery may be faulty but my question is actually this:
Q. What current is taken from your battery when your car is switched off? Mine is 800mA (0.8A) This is about 9.6W, that amounts to a couple of small car lights. I know that the Alarm has to be on while the car is switched off but that surely doesn't take 9.6W.
I'm worried that this high current has been discharging my battery overnight but i don't know what it should be and I'm hoping to hear of your experiences to guide the diagnosis!
