Shudder on take off in first gear
I have owned my 2005 156 Selespeed for only two months (purchased from a second hand car dealership) and it has just developed the slight shudder at take off in first gear. I have been told by a local Alfa Romeo mechanic (not part of an Alfa Romeo dealership) that this is normal wear and tear, however my vehicle has only done 67,000kms. He said the clutch plate needs to be replaced at a cost of $1,800. I have 3 year extended warranty but he said because it is normal wear and tear at this mileage a claim would not be not applicable.
Reading some of the comments in this thread it seems that the clutch plate probably only needs adjusting?
Anyone's assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
