Re: Towball for my 147 ??
I am quite new to this forum, but noticed you wish to tow too. Attached are some pitctures of my 147 JTD 16V M-Jet which I got back in August 2003. As you will see I fitted the towbar with the assistance from my dad. I got the Brink Ellebi from the dealer (only becuase nobody in Essex UK could source one for me), but I made sure it was the detachable variety only though. The fixed ones IMO look very ungly and spoil the looks of your 147. Ah, one of the pictures is that of a lovely dog which was on site and he decided to come in from the cold for a biscuit! - slightly off topic I know! The bar was relatively easy to install itself and the most part of the electrics were too, but the feed to the relay box needs to be connected to an ingnition fed source behind the dash was an abosulte pain. I had to get an auto electrician out in the end. Overall I decided it was best to get it fitted by a towbar speciaslist if I were to do it again.
So, what is your 147 and what to you intend to tow - a boat, jet ski or trailer? Make sure you go for the 13 pin electrics though, not the two 7 pins.
Having problems attaching pictures. I want to add them to the Just Images section and place a link here to it. Trouble is my pictures are too large. How to I decrease them to upload them (100kb limit) without reducing the size - if I do this they are tiny tiny pictures!
