Should I reuse my old Eibach springs?

Hi all,

50,000 miles ago I replaced my suspension with the much-vaunted Eibach Prokit springs/Koni FSD shocks combination.

Much joy and driving pleasure ensued!

However, I now have a very squirmy, uneven and bouncy ride and I suspect the shocks of being pretty shot. (I should say that I have just replaced all the upper and lower wishbones at the front by the way.)

So, I have ordered a set of Eibach shocks (which are meant to go with the springs I have) and will be having them fitted soon.

Question: It seems to me that the shocks are buggered. But are my springs likely to be OK? The car sits at the right height at all 4 corners - does this suggest the springs are OK, or could they be part of the problem? If there's a reasonable doubt I'll change the springs too, but equally, I don't want to change them just for the sake of it.

Thanks chaps!

Eibach are top quality springs. They will work as well as new ones unless they have broken in two.

springs support vehicle so if stance is same nowt to worry ,as for shocks they control spring compreesing and rebounding and its rebound control is that you notice thus ya bouncing

Springs can droop over time too. Tends to be after many years of use. The metal just can't take it! I reckon in your situation the springs will be fine to reuse. Give it a go and see how they feel. If not right try alternative springs.
