Well I am out in Spain sunning myself right now but was in the Alfa dealer in Marbella yesterday and saw a GT 1.9 diesel sportivo in lapari grey metallic and rear parking sensors for 30,300 Euros. Mine in Ireland is costing me 40,200 euros. I expect it is our punitive government taxes that are to blame.
In Spain they told me that the government taxes are 23%.
When I asked why I had not seen one GT on the road in my two weeks in Spain so far the salesman said they are very expensive here!
Come to think of it I was recently in Italy and saw none also. I saw two in Germany. None in Austria and in Ireland I have seen just two driving on the road. Well its going to be rare alright I reckon.
Have to make the move to Spain permanently I think - Ireland is just too expensive. I was also eying up a lovely special edition Alfa 147 diesel in Alfa Red. It has some of the GTA body kit and a nice set of 17' spoked alloys. Brand new for just 21,000 euros.
Will someone tell me why prices can differ so much in a supposedly single market?
