ok, bled the clutch again today but still no difference, cant engage any gear at all and clutch just sits at the bottom with no pressure to bring it up at all
let me explain exactly how this happened and how iv bled clutch.....
* upto 3 days ago, clutch was only returning half way up, with it slowly poping up to the top if pumped hard or left for a minute or so.
2 days ago clutch was taking even longer to pop back up to the top and was generally not even coming back half way and so i was finding it hard to get into any gear.
after inspection i found oil on underside of gearbox around clutch area.
so after reading that people bleed the clutch to temporarily sort this out i went ahead to bleed the clutch and also again today but both times not helping at all and has now made the clutch worse by now clutch just sits at the bottom and doesnt return at all..
this is exactly how iv bled the system.....
went and bought 500ml of dot 4 fluid and an automatic brake bleed hose,
removed battery and tray,
removed rubber cover from slave cylinder and removed rubber nipple cap,
connected bleed hose to nipple and put other end of bleed pipe into a bottle with around 100ml of new clean dot 4 fluid,
pulled up metal clip from slave cylinder and had a friend pull the clutch up to the top,
pulled hose to slave cylinder off around 10mm, then friend pushed clutch down fully, forcing old fluid into my bottle,
pushed hose to slave cylinder back on fully and then friend pulled clutch back to the top,
repeated last 2 steps for around 15 minutes emptying out around 300ml of old fluid but also during this, every few minutes i topped up resovoir with new clean fluid, when topping up resovour i made sure clutch was up fully and pipe fully on slave cylinder and clip pushed in.
im sure i have done this correctly havnt i???
i have noticed the old fluid coming out into my bottle is really merky and dirty but so is most of the fluid in the system including the fluid in the resovour.
what else can i do to help me get my clutch working?????
