Hmmm Can i replace a cf3 engine with a cf2?

Hi i need to replace the cf3 engine in my 2002 147.(2.0L)
I have been offered a 2001 156 cf2 engine.
I understand there are a few differences. What are they? Can i use the parts from the original engine to make it work?
Please help as i have been given lots of different opinions on this matter.
Thanks in advance.

The main differences are the exhaust manifold and the head gasket type. Also, 147 engines are slightly shorted that 156 ones (I know not why), and as a result have a different cam belt.

What you're trying to do will work though - just swap over the CF3 bits onto the CF2 lump.
