Best to just let the pros sort this. They'll replace the pipe and sort the rest of the system out for you without it being silly money. The system needs to be drawn to deep vacuum anyway, not just a case of replacing the pipe and re-filling. The dryer will most likely need replacing, if moisture (i.e. air) has entered the system

, can highly recommend them!!) come to the house, replace a pipe and fully service the system, all for less than £160 all in. Good as gold for the next four years, until I sold the car.
