Misfire on start up

Hi all,

My v6 GT sometimes has a misfire and reports MCSF for up to a minute after starting. It's reporting an error "P0306 cylinder number 6 misfire". The error clears and after that everything is fine - runs well and isn't losing power as far as I can tell.

Has anyone had this before?

I've eliminated the coil pack and spark plug by swapping both with cylinder 5 and the fault has stayed on cylinder 6. I am thinking the next thing to look at is the injector. Any other suggestions?

Can ayone explain how the misfire is detected and how it knows what cylinder it's on?

I am also losing some coolant but haven't identified a leak so am praying it's not leaking through the head gasket into cylinder number 6 and causing a misfire! No signs of oil in water or vice versa...touch wood!
