Re: Alfa 147 2ltr Lumpy/Pulsating Tickover
Hi everyone, been on here before regards a 147 engine i have put in, tried various things and had no luck,
I have now had the timing covers off, and locked the engine into TDC and put the cam caps on.
Can anyone explain what the balance shafts do? i see that there are two (one at front and one at back) when the engine is locked up it looks like the markings arent correct the back one is a tooth out.
I havent touched the engine timing as i was told when i bought it that it was running well?
and thought i would get it runnung then change the belts after.
Could this cause this problem.
Cause i have tried everything else i can think of and when the car is taken on a run it seems absolutly fine.
my previouse posts i have added on under this if you would like to see whats been done.
Please Please help
hi there i am ne to this forum, hopeing someone can help i own a 156 1.8 and have bought a 147 2.0 selespeed on an 03 which is gas converted and the crank is gone.
bought a second hand engine and have fitted it
Right my problem is on tickover and low revs it pulses or seems to misfire.
everything except for the block & head has been transfered from the other engine, inlet manifold complete with throttle body injectors etc, crank sensor all wiring, plugs & coils,
so i dont see what could be causing this, only wire that wasnt transfered was cam sensor but there are no faults coming up on the obd2, so cant see that its that.
i have tried the plugs and coils from my 156 just the same i have read about a ecu reset and throttle position reset and thought i would try this.
Any ideas i would be very grateful
Ps i left the selesspeed actuator in posiotion just removed both fluid pipes and large connector, gears are fine and change ok. oh and it runs the same on gas or petrol so cant see that it can be fuel supply in any way.
Hi there i have recently purchased the software fiat ecuscan and think that it is brilliant but i have got a problem maybe someone can help,
i have a 147 in my workshop that i have replaced the engine for a second hand unit all old stuff put back on so only the block and cylinder head has been changed,
The basic problem is rough idling almost like a pulsing, after a bit of info i am told it cold be the lambda sensors a couple of times it has come up with different errors but i feel it is due to whatever is the matter, i have actuated all the components listed in the fiat ecu scan and all seem to actuate except for the lambda sensor replay ( i cant hear it clicking in at all on either of the actuators.
But the biggest problem is i cant find the lambda sensor relay? i have looked at Autodata and tolerance (tolerance making the most sense of the fuse box layouts )
but i still cant find the relay in question PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!
