heya guys, over the last week my car has developed a "bunnyhop" on the way home from work (yes only the way home from work, its fine going to work and driving everywhere else, probably just coinsidence) i start her up, leave her for a couple of mins then start driving down the hill. i then come to a roundabout and have a severe bunnyhop going around the roundabout until i change into 3rd gear. any ideas guys?
Ah, mine has all of it's problems going to work (strange little misfire) and for the rest of the day it's fine. Maybe we should just retire and pack up work? That'd confuse the hell out of our cars. Any engine symptoms? MCSF warnings?
its a manual Iain. heya frost, no warning lights, no misfire no nothing, just a major bunnyhop around that bloody roundabout lol. it feels like its running out of petrol but its the same when the tank is ull so cant be that,
maybe an overfueling or underfueling problem?
na i had a look yesterday for air leaks in exactly that spot lol. i changed my cone filter back to the stock filter so had a quick look over the engine and couldnt see anything. i doubt it would be MAF related as it pulls cleanely into and passed the redline
Remove the engine cover, undo the bolts on each coil pack, undo the bolts on the coil pack rail, pull the coil packs and HT leads off the plugs, then lift the whole lot off (remember to reconnect the earth when you put it back together).
James May recommends tampons for that kind of thing, but what you suggest should work.
