147, 1.6 TS, slight engine shudder.

Purchased my 54 reg 147 in January, not had any problems with it so far (yay). It's due a cam belt change though, i believe, since it's been over 3 years since it was last done.

However, I have recently begun to notice the engine feeling a bit shuddery, at all speeds really. It feels like driving over a slightly bumpy road, or as if you're in first gear and not giving it enough revs. It's such a slight shudder that sometimes i think i'm just paranoid about it but at other times i'm sure something's not right.

Also, I think i'm noticing it becoming harder to get acceleration in first and second gear and i'm having to put my foot down more.

Could this be related to an old cam belt or any other engine problems? And could anyone recommend a garage to do a service on it in the Darlington area, or some way to find one.

Any help very much appreciated.

Is it like this in every conditions. I think if your cam belt is overdue (how many miles did you run on the belts? should be 30k tops) and the sync is being challenged or sparks are not operational, it is causing permanent cylinder damage why oh why are you still driving it?

Get it checked at local indie alfa ASAP (RFN even better). See nearest recommended indie in the general alfa discussion page (sticky).
