A little Off Topic but..................
As I mentioned I have had my Sele for 11 years now. It has not been 100% reliable, but nor has it been a disaster either (WTF would I have had it for so long), nothing that money couldn’t fix. Much like CO2Max mentions above I find it a blast to drive – once your driving style gets into tune with the Sele it is quite civilised and fun to drive.
In fact I would say compared to the DSG it is better !!!! As I may have said in another post – I drove a mate’s DSG Golf for the first time recently. As an Auto it is quite OK actually, as a manual strangely disconnected. The changes are too smooth and it seems hardily worth the effort to use the manual function. Suppose that maybe why I do not anybody who regularly uses their DSG as a manual.
A bit later this year Bella will get traded in on a GQV and it will be with a normal manual box – after 11.5 years of the Selespeed is probably enough clutchless motoring for me for the moment, would not rule out another when I get really ancient
