I have something similar. It feels like you have taken your foot off the accelerator momentarily, the car lurches as if you have actually removed your foot from the pedal and, within a matter of seconds, it picks up again - is it the same for you?
I now also find it difficult to get boost between idle and 2500 rpm. Once the car hits 2500, it shoots off. It is particularly bad from a standing start at junctions.
I have been told that this could be a result of torn/worn pipes around the turbo and particularly around the VGT solonoid - It would be ok to check but I cannot see the damned thing under the slam panel. If someone could take a pic of the engine bay and highlight the area in which the pipes are, I could take a look and replace with silicone pipes available on ebay......
HARDDISK RIPPER - I am not trying to hijack your thread but your problem sounds similar - as in, a moment of power loss and then the power comes back once the turbo is spooled up?
