Have to disagree here. I do like changes. I love them. But only if they improve an original design or if they add something very valuable to the original. Facelifts of for instance the Peugeot 406 (I'm not talking about the Coupe, that is just hideous!), the current BMW 3 series, the Renault Megane series 1, the Ford Sierra amongst some are much better than the original (I know, the models are maybe old or strange, but they're an example). At least in my opinion.
Alfa Romeo have totally fooked up the beautiful originals. The curved body and the beautiful lines of the originals are now distorted with nose jobs even Pamela Andersson wouldn't go for and the rear......it's so square and huge even Afro-Americans don't like them (and they DO LOVE HUGE ASSES ;-) ).
The first facelift of the 156 is exactly what was needed: a subtle retouch of the original. The current facelifts can only be classified as rape.
