If you are sitting comforably I shall begin.
The weekend MOT and investigation work were carried out with the following results:
Front anti roll bar bushes were shot - replaced under warranty.
Squeeky bearing was found to be the alternator belt tensioner - replaced under warranty.
All suspension bushes and engine mounts were checked and no faults were found.
MOT OK apart from 2 front wiper blades. Front tyres reported as worn on the inside edge. Took the car to tyre dealer on the way home to have the tracking checked, the tracking was found to be toe in by 2.5mm (yes. toe in, tyres should have worn on the outside edge????). The tracking has now been adjusted to manufacturer recommended setting. Could the anti roll bar fault effect the tyre wear?.
Gearbox whine at 1500 RPM (mainly in 3rd) tested and thought to be expected noise (letter to back this up from service manager).
On the way to the dealer the car popped and died. The turbo feed pipe had "popped" off of the inlet manifold as the jubilee clip had not been fitted correctly originally. I repaired and continued. The jubilee clip was found to be dead and was replaced. The turbo pipe was found to be split between the turbo and the intercooler, so I am looking into a replacement which is a little more "butch".
New Bridgestone S-03 tyres ordered for the front so I will need to investigate the inner edge tyre wear, any ideas would be appreciated.
