how about a "cut out" on the exhaust

hi, i've been thinking about putting a "cut out" with a electro valve just after the catalytic converter (after the lambda sensors), to open whe i want more hp's and close to run quietly, my question is if i make the modification the sensors will turn on, on the dash board?

No point unless your engine has a turbo. An N/A engine needs (but not necessarily a lot of) back pressure, and a certain length of exhaust to get the maximum potential from your engine.

Turbo'd petrol engine exhausts work differently, the less backpressure the better, so a valve after the turbo or cat would work well
