So I guess I'll be buying more Auto Glymm! I agree it is very dusty though!!!
I've used MER for years but in the interests of research I decided to but some Autoglym, to conduct side-by-side tests.
I did half my bonnet in MER and half in Super Resin Polish.
My results... Both polishes are pretty useful, shine up well and neither are abrasive (so I can also use them for the metallic-painted car in the household). I can't see any difference in the quality of the shine between the two polishes.
MER goes on easier, as you can apply it on a damp cloth. That's useful if the car is a bit warm or hot. Removing the MER when the car is hot is a pain but if you dampen the polishing cloth a tiny amount it sorts it. I haven't tried Autoglym on hot paintwork.
Autoglym looks like it will keep the shine for longer but it's early days..
MER produces a bit of dust but Autoglym is a devil for it! My motor is black, so that's quite an issue.
Autoglym is a bit dearer but probably not worth worrying about.
