Rear View Mirror

Back in January I knocked the rear view mirror, whilst scrapping the ice off the INSIDE (!) off the screen, its had a new screen by Autoglass a few months before I brought it (and over a year ago so out of warranty), which might be why it wasnt on very well in the first place.

I ve stuck it back several times with a sticky pad specifically for mirrors from my local garage, but the pad has a thin foam bit between the stckies so it flexes and after a month falls off.

I ve phoned my local stealer who said Alfa dont do sticky pads for it and havent heard good reports about the pads you can buy from Halfrauds, anyone got any idea what would hold it on permanently?

Forget the pads and forget Halfrauds.

Get down to a PROPER parts place and get the mesh with glue. Comes in a packet looking like superglue in packaging. Take everything off the mirror plate that attaches to the screen. Use sandpaper to make sure it is completely clean, wipe it down, apply some glue and the mesh and stick and hold - or whatever the instructions say - better than the sticky pads.
