Clutch Pedal Problems

Anyone any ideas on my 147 JTD Clutch pedal issue?

When I am driving the "firmness" of the clutch pedal varies.

One minute it is nice n stiff (oooh er!) and the next minute I feel like popeye on Spinach as I nearly put my foot through the floor.

There seems to be no problems with changing gear or anything - it simply goes all loose as though the pedal isn't connected to anything.

Not sure whether to take it do dealer or not - should I risk it?

The pedal can change from tight to slack with one simple press - but it doesn't change every time it is pressed - if that makes sense. I can drive any distance with it constantly tight, and then all of a sudden it will go slack for a few presses and then go back tight.

Confused? - I am!

"If I can get away with buying it and the wife not finding out - I will."

Re: Clutch Pedal Problems

Since they are hydrolic (i think) then I would guess that you have air in your system. Try getting it bleeded.

Re: Clutch Pedal Problems

I have experienced this too daesimps, although not as extreme as you. Some days it feels rock 'ard, the next quite loose. Wouldn't worry too much.
