~Well the problem is fixed ,the bottom ball joint was completely shot - once off it wobbled about easily, totally worn.
I replaced the lower wishbone, and trust me, you really dont want to attempt this with undoing the drive shaft.
Started friday night after 3 hours I was at a stage of old one half off, could not put it back, could not get it off - panik was setting in
Another 5 hours on saturday, lots of frustration, swearing, near tears of frustration, and some devine luck saw it done.
Top tip if you do want to do it - you need to be able to undo the drive shaft at the hub end to get enough clearance to fit the WB (this means a serious big torque wrench to put it back), and you need spring compressors to take the pressure out the suspension, need to remove both AR drop links to free the AR bar tension.
I saved the £150 labour, but would not bother for the other side. Its a ***** of a job without being able to do the above
even once in lining up the mounting holes was a mare
Wish I had known you could buy the 3rd year dealer warranty when I got it from trade sales
