Prefer the interior facelift personally, good looks of the old shape plus the new interior
Cruise is standard on the Lusso's as are steering wheel radio controls standard on all but the Turismo where it was an option, Dual Zone Climate control and the trip comp/info centre in the centre of the dash on all (i think), which displays everything you need, if a little inaccurate on the mpg in most models....except mine apparently, Connect Nav was an option on all but it was rubbish
And the dash had a different less shiney, slightly softer plastic.
Most of the little electrical gremlins from the old model seemed to have been resolved on the later models, but can still suffer from neglect, and yeah the JTS can be a bit of a hit and miss on the problems side.
And yeah you get all the ESP, ASR, EBD etc saftey/nanny state controls (tbf, its not actually that intrusive)
Interior pics to show the difference (if you havnt seen them before of course), outsides are obvious, mk1 facelift had body coloured wing mirrors and bump strips, while the mk2 changed the lights, bumpers etc
