156 facelift conversion.

Alright people

I'm looking at getting a 1.8 156 Lusso but i can only really afford about 5-6k to spend on the car, only 19 so insurance is another 2k. The thing is i really wanted to buy the facelifted 156 so that it has the nicer 147 style grille. Does anyone know how much it would cost for a front end conversion to give my car the facelifted look as i cant afforsd a 53 plate? i'm guessing i would probably need new bumpers and bonnet to do this, possibly arches as well?

Any help much appreciated

Re: 156 facelift conversion.

Quite honestly... I dont fancy the facelift that much. Are you're aware that the rear is totally different too. New rear fenders, new bumper, new light clusters, new boot lid?

Here's a thought. The GTA havent changed. All you need is new headlights, front bumper, front fenders, and side sills, that must be way cheaper. Plus you get a wider stance. And IMHO, the original looked better. And if you want the cheapo route? Not saying you do, just a thought; you can buy GTA bumpers, both front and rear from Helvetia spoilers without having to change the fenders.

I agree with Lars, the new front is not bad, but why change a good design ? nobody wants to change the Mona Lisa do they ?!
The GTA conversion is a better option (imho)

How much would i be looking at for the GTA conversion? Proper Alfa or Helvetia replica?
