removing wing mirror

hi can anyone tell me how you get the dam wing mirrors off a 147 (2001).
i have taken them off the car but need to take the mirror and housing off the arm. i have removed the 3 screws from under the arm and stupidly thought the mirror and housing would lift off
am i missing something ????

any advice would be greatly appreciated

It's never that easy with an Alfa is it? I had to take my drivers side mirror off my 156 to fix it. From what I can remember there's a couple of screws inside the casing as well that you can't get to with the mirror glass in place. You have to carefully unclip the plate that the mirror is bonded too from the rotating plate inside the casing and then remove the glass to get to them.
